Aguilas beach toilets open
You know summer is coming when the disabled access walkways are installed on the beaches and the loos are opened up for the season

The beach toilets are now open on the Águilas beaches of Playa de La Colonia and Playa de Poniente, providing additional services for tourists and beachgoers this summer.
The two prefabricated toilet modules on these two popular beaches on the Águilas coastline are now in operation, each with three individual cabins: one for men, one for women and one accessible cabin.
Águilas’s Councillor for Cleaning, Noelia Ruano, said, “As part of these actions, last year a major investment was made in tourist infrastructure through the refurbishment of urban beaches, with the provision of pedal-operated foot showers, walkways and equipment to improve accessibility for people with reduced mobility. Last summer articulated wooden walkways were installed and, in order to complete the accessible routes, roll-up walkways were installed at certain points to give access to bathing to people with reduced mobility. These actions are now completed with the installation of these toilet modules.”
