Gym, Zumba, keep-fit, swimming lessons, aqua-aerobics, keep-fit in the pool etc

The Alhama de Murcia Councillor for Sports, Rosa Sánchez, has published the sports programming for adults for the 2021-2022 season.

This programme includes sporting classes and activities such as body fitness, pilates, spinning, Zumba etc and also includes activities and classes in the municipal indoor pool which offers swimming lessons as well as aqua-aerobics and special classes for pregnant women or those with back or sports injuries.

All of the courses have a specific number of places allocated and participants sign up for a quarter (three months) at a time or the full year. Those who sign up for this first quarter can renew, and any remaining spaces will be re-allocated to those on the waiting list.

The reception of the sports pavilion is open from 8:00 to 15:00 and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Prices are very reasonable, and in some cases participants can choose the frequency of the selected activity.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY FOR ADULTS BODY FITNESS Start: September 20. Location: indoor pool (multipurpose room). Hours: Monday and Wednesday 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at 9:00 p.m. Intense muscle toning exercise. Annual fee: € 96. Quarterly fee: € 40.

BODY BOXING Start: September 21. Location: El Praíco sports center. Hours: Tuesday and Thursday 7:30 p.m. Exercises to improve cardiovascular capacity and strength, based on boxing movements and techniques. Annual fee: € 96. Quarterly fee: € 40.

GERONTOGYMNASTICS Start: September 20. Place: municipal sports hall. Hours: Monday and Wednesday 09:30 a.m. Gentle exercises to maintain physical and motor skills, to prevent functional decline of age. Annual fee: € 36. Quarterly fee: € 15.

MAINTENANCE GYMNASTICS Start: September 20. Location: indoor pool morning and afternoon hours. Morning hours: Monday and Wednesday 09:15 a.m. Afternoon hours: Monday and Wednesday 8:00 p.m. Physical exercises for toning and general coordination. Annual fee: € 60. Quarterly fee: € 25.

HIIT TRAINING Start: September 21. Location: El Praíco sports center. Hours: Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Intense exercises performed on circuits and on trampolines. Annual fee: € 96. Quarterly fee: € 40.

PILATES Start: September 20. Location: El Praíco indoor pool and sports center Hours: Monday and Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. in the pool and at 9:00 p.m. in El Praíco. Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in El Praíco and 7:00 p.m. and 20:00 h. In the pool. Exercises focused on improving flexibility and strength throughout the body without increasing its volume. Annual fee: € 96. Quarterly fee: € 40.

SPINNING (INDOOR CYCLE) Start: September 20. Location: El Praíco sports center. Hours: Monday and Wednesday at 9:15 a.m., 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Aerobic exercise, accompanied by music and performed on stationary bikes. The courses must have a minimum of 8 registrations. The places of the courses will be subject to the regulations applied by the sanitary conditions at that particular time. The place will be lost due to: Non-payment of the fee or repeated lack of attendance (> 3) without any justification.
