AndalucÃa weather forecast March 17 - March 20: Heavy rain, storms and strong winds
A stormy start to the week with persistent rain, thunderstorms and strong winds across the region

Monday March 17

Andalucia weather forecast, Monday March 17
Heavy and persistent showers will drench western Andalucía, especially in Huelva, Cádiz and Seville, with thunderstorms likely. Rainfall will be widespread, with thick cloud cover across the region. Snowfall is possible in the mountains above 1,700-2,000 metres. Morning mist and fog may reduce visibility in low-lying areas. Minimum temperatures will rise, while daytime temperatures will stay steady in most places but could increase slightly in inland eastern areas like Granada and Jaén. Winds from the south will strengthen throughout the day, becoming strong along the Atlantic coast, with very strong gusts at times.
Tuesday March 18

Andalucia weather forecast, Tuesday March 18
Stormy conditions continue into Tuesday morning, particularly in the Mediterranean coastal areas and the Strait of Gibraltar, where heavy and persistent showers could be accompanied by thunderstorms. The rain will begin to ease from west to east later in the day, allowing for some clearer spells. Snow may fall above 1,600-1,800 metres. Mist and fog are likely in western areas in the morning. Minimum temperatures will remain stable, while daytime highs will rise, particularly in Córdoba and Almería. Winds will be moderate to strong from the west, with powerful gusts along the coasts, though these should weaken by the evening.
Wednesday March 19

Cloudy skies will dominate, with light to moderate showers expected in western areas like Huelva and Seville, potentially with isolated thunderstorms. Morning mist and fog are likely inland. Temperatures will continue to climb, with both daytime and night time values increasing. Winds will be moderate to strong from the south in the west, while in the east, winds will be light and variable before turning easterly and strengthening along the Mediterranean coast, particularly in Málaga and Almería.
Thursday March 20

Western Andalucía will remain under thick cloud cover, bringing widespread rainfall, possibly heavy and persistent at times, with the risk of thunderstorms. In contrast, eastern areas, including Granada and Almería, will see a mix of clouds and clearer spells, with less chance of rain. Temperatures will continue to rise in most areas, though daytime highs may drop slightly in the west. Winds will remain strong from the south in western Andalucía and from the east along the Mediterranean coast, particularly in the far eastern provinces.
It’s set to be a wet and windy few days, with stormy conditions persisting throughout the period. Keep an eye on local forecasts, especially in areas prone to heavy rain and strong winds.
