AndalucÃa weekend weather forecast March 5-8: Cooler, cloudy and often wet
Showery days, brisk westerly winds and a noticeable drop in temperatures
After a very unsettled, few days with widespread rain and gusty winds, Andalucía stays on the cloudy and changeable side as we head into the weekend, though without quite the same intensity. Skies will be mostly overcast with showers on and off, some longer spells of rain and a fresh feel compared with the springlike warmth we saw recently, especially in inland areas.Thursday March 5
Andalucía weather forecast, Thursday March 5Thursday starts off grey, with cloudy or very cloudy skies and occasional light to moderate rain, least likely along the Mediterranean side. Early low cloud and mist may linger in places, particularly around Huelva, before lifting a little later in the morning. Minimum temperatures edge down slightly, while daytime values dip in the north but are a touch higher elsewhere. Winds begin light and variable, then turn westerly during the afternoon, with a moderate poniente along the Mediterranean coast and through the Strait of Gibraltar, affecting areas such as Tarifa.
Friday March 6
Andalucía weather forecast, Friday March 6Friday is another very cloudy day with scattered showers, some of which could be wintry on the highest peaks, with the snowline near 1,200 to 1,400 metres. It feels cooler everywhere, with top temperatures around 16 degrees in Seville. Westerly winds blow lightly to moderately inland, while along the coasts, including around Cádiz and Almería, they pick up, with strong intervals on the eastern Mediterranean stretch and through the Strait where very strong gusts are possible and yellow coastal warnings are in place.
Saturday March 7
Andalucía weather forecast, Saturday March 7Cloud remains the main theme on Saturday, with light to moderate rain at times and some heavier bursts more likely near the western Mediterranean, affecting places such as Málaga. There may still be a touch of frost around daybreak in some of the higher eastern valleys, but for most, temperatures change very little or slip just a fraction, apart from a slight lift in afternoon values on the Atlantic side. Winds are mostly light westerlies, becoming moderate along exposed Mediterranean coasts.
Sunday March 8
Andalucía weather forecast, Sunday March 8Sunday keeps the cloud but the rain is more on and off, with occasional light showers across the region rather than continuous downpours. Maximum temperatures pick up a little, especially inland around Córdoba and Granada, while night-time values hold steady or rise slightly in the southeast near Almería. Breezes stay generally light and variable, tending to come from the west, and it should feel a touch more pleasant between showers, especially if you find a brighter spell.
The cooler, showery pattern is likely to hang around into early next week, though there are hints of brighter, milder interludes trying to edge back into Andalucía before long.

- Friday March 6: Min 4ºC; Max 16ºC
- Saturday March 7: Min 5ºC; Max 18ºC
