Andalusia weekend weather forecast November 15-17: The sun will come out on Sunday
The rain and strong winds continue for now, but calmer conditions are coming this weekend as many roads remain closed or disrupted due to the DANA
Andalucía weather warnings, Friday November 15
Several parts of Andalucía, particularly Huelva and Cádiz, face another bout of intense rain and storm conditions this Friday, with alerts reissued across multiple provinces, though it should dry out a bit by Sunday.
The Spanish Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has renewed its orange weather warning for parts of Huelva, effective from 6am this Friday November 15. This high-level alert applies to the coastal, Andévalo and Condado areas, with intense rainfall expected to deliver as much as 30mm in just one hour and up to 80mm over a twelve-hour period. The forecast also warns of potential waterspouts along the coast.
These three regions in Huelva are currently under warning until 3pm, while the coast of Cádiz is on yellow alert for rain and the coastline between Málaga and Almería is on yellow alert for strong winds of up to 50-60kmh and waves of 2-3 metres high.

After being closed on Thursday as a precautionary measure, schools and universities in Andalucía are set to resume full activities this Friday. Educational institutions in Málaga, Granada, Seville and Cádiz reopened earlier, and now Huelva joins them.
According to the Regional Ministry of Educational Development, approximately 1.3 million students and nearly 5,000 schools were affected by closures on Thursday as the DANA brought heavy rains and flood risks to the region.
On Saturday 16, the coasts of Almería and Cádiz are still on yellow alert for high winds and waves in the early part of the day, when there is also rain and thunderstorms forecast for Seville and Huelva provinces. In the east, there will be dense fog in inland areas and it will be a cloudy morning all over.

However, by Saturday afternoon Andalucía will have mostly dried out, leaving a bright and sunny Sunday to come, with only gentle winds and no more weather alerts.

This pleasant weather should last into the beginning of next week, though Aemet is currently forecasting more rain to come next Wednesday, November 20.
Road closures and travel warnings
The ongoing effects of the DANA have left several key Andalusian roads closed due to flooding, especially in Almería and Málaga.
The A-7 motorway in Balanegra, Almería, remains shut, with traffic diverted to the N-340-A, while secondary roads across Málaga have also been affected.
In Málaga, the MA-3108 near Benamargosa, the A-7054 between Churriana, the A-7207 connecting Cómpeta and Torrox, and the A-7278 near Teba are all experiencing closures in both directions due to flood damage.
There are similar disruptions in Cádiz and Granada, where specific roads have been closed to maintain safety, including the CA-9101 near Olvera and the GR-4104 through El Bejarín and Benalúa.
Authorities recommend that drivers avoid affected routes and stay updated on traffic conditions, especially on secondary roads in regions hit hardest by rain.
