The history and prehistory of the Altiplano area at the Cayetano de Mergelina Museum in Yecla
The Museo Arqueológico Municipal Cayetano de Mergelina in Yecla contains 8 exhibition rooms in which the history of the area is traced from prehistoric times to recent centuries, with artefacts various thousands of years old found at the mountain of Monte Arabí, pre-Roman remains from the Cerro de los Santos, the Roman villa of Los Torrejones and the Moorish and medieval period represented by objects unearthed on the castle hill.
