August 2 Election of honorary Carnival 2025 dignitaries in Aguilas
Matters of supreme importance in Águilas are to be decided at this gala in preparation for next February!
Carnival is without doubt the biggest event of the year in Águilas, where the celebrations which mark the start of Lent are unquestionably the most spectacular in the Region of Murcia, and so great importance is placed on the choosing of those who will be representing the main personalities in the ritualized parties of the fiestas (such as Don Carnal, Doña Cuaresma and the raging beast which is the “Mussona”!)
The grand gala for the election of these dignitaries takes place on Friday August 2 at 21.00 in the Plaza Antonio Cortijos, with tickets on sale at the Federación de Peñas de Carnaval (Edificio Águilas 2000, Calle Rey Carlos III, between 19.00 and 21.00). Tickets are priced at 7 and 12 euros, and any which remain unsold will be available on the gate on Friday evening.
