Click HereCarnival is without doubt the biggest event of the year in Águilas, where the celebrations which mark the start of Lent are unquestionably the most spectacular in the Region of Murcia, and so it is no great surprise that following the election of those who will be representing the main personalities in the ritualized parties of the fiestas (such as Don Carnal, Doña Cuaresma and the raging beast which is the “Mussona”!) next February the Summer Carnival parade takes place in the Bay of Levante on Saturday August 3.
The parade route begins at the sculpture of Icarus next to the fishing port at 21.30 and ends at the Club Náutico, with the following “peñas” (Carnival troupes) taking part: Federación de Peñas, the dignitaries of 2024, Almendriqueña, Aquilae, Aguanile, Atenea, Imperial, Sambari, Pura Vida, Toscana, La Rata Loca, Los Amantes del Chichi, Sinergia, El Mogollón, Briseyda, Ikaleña, Con-Fusión Nocturna, Azabache, Si no Salgo Reviento, Terpsícore, La Movida Aguileña, Masako, Te lo Digo Bailando and El Tangay.
