ARCHIVED - Blistering temperatures in store for Murcia: weather forecast June 6-9
Some parts of the Murcia Region will reach a sweltering 37ºC in the coming days
The temperatures have been steadily climbing in recent weeks throughout the Region of Murcia and as we settle into June it appears that the only way is up. The weather will remain settled all week with sunny or slightly cloudy skies and the mercury will reach a sweltering 37ºC by mid week.
Monday June 6
The day will dawn slightly cloudy but will clear significantly as the afternoon approaches. Day-time temperatures will vary, sitting at a pleasantly warm 28ºC in coastal Cartagena and shooting up to 35ºC in the municipality of Murcia. The day will be relatively still with only some light breeze.
Tuesday June 7
Little change is expected on Tuesday, although the mercury will rise across the Region, climbing as high as 36ºC in the middle of the day in Caravaca de la Cruz. Slightly windy again today, with night-time temperatures ranging between 15ºC and 20ºC.
Wednesday June 8
Another pleasant day ahead, although the clouds, along with morning mists, could hang around a bit longer in the Campo de Cartagena. Night-time temperatures will stay the same as on Tuesday while during the day the mercury will skyrocket to 37ºC in Murcia.
Thursday June 9
An easterly wind will pick up on Thursday and will blow more strongly on the coast, reducing temperatures in many areas considerably. Cartagena will top out at around 36ºC but it will be slightly warmer in Lorca and Caravaca, where the thermometers will hover around 32ºC.
