Date Published: 30/07/2024ARCHIVED ARTICLE -Body found of boy missing at sea in Cabo de Palos
The body was found off the Playa de la Sirenas beach in La Manga del Mar Menor
The body of the boy who disappeared in the sea off Cabo de Palos on Monday afternoon, July 29, has been found in the water just off the Playa de las Sirenas beach in La Manga this Tuesday. The extensive search by helicopter and by sea to try to find the 17-year-old alive has been unsuccessful. After the whole afternoon and evening of Monday and Tuesday morning, the body has been rescued from the water. The young man had been swimming in the sea at the Playa de las Amoladeras despite the fact that high winds and choppy waves on Monday meant a red flag was raised banning swimming. It was just after 6pm when he was reported missing by two friends who were with him at the time, after he failed to return to shore from his swim.Image: Emergencias CT
