The former PM was spotted on the beach in Tarifa last weekend, enjoying a break with his family
While the British economy slowly collapses under Liz Truss’s first three weeks in her new job of Prime Minister, her predecessor Boris Johnson is lapping up the sun and sea in Tarifa, the popular surfer’s paradise in Cadiz, Andalusia.
Boris was spotted last Sunday, September 25, wearing swimming trunks and a T-shirt on the Playa de Bolonia, which was famously the scene of a dramatic flash flood that left tourists scrambling just two weeks ago.
The former British prime minister was with his wife, Carrie Johnson, and their children.
According to the owner of the Ríos guesthouse and hostel, José Antonio Ríos, BoJo pulled up to take a dip in their pool, one of the most popular terraces in Bolonia, on the beachfront.
“He just had a swim and then left,” said Ríos, whose employee Antonio Rocha did not miss the opportunity to take a photo with Johnson.
Johnson, who was accompanied by bodyguards at all times, posed for the photo barefoot, flip-flops in hand.
