Brit teen critically injured in water park accident in Spain
The 15-year-old ‘hit his head’ on a slide at a Mallorca water park
A British teenager is fighting for his life after a freak accident at a popular waterpark on the Spanish island of Mallorca. The 15-year-old was involved in a serious incident on Monday afternoon, September 17, at the Hidropark in Alcúdia, a bustling destination known for its thrilling water slides and family attractions.
According to reports, the teen sustained a severe head injury while playing on one of the park’s slides. Witnesses say the impact was so intense that he was rendered unconscious and plunged to the bottom of the pool.
Emergency responders, who acted quickly at the scene, managed to revive his pulse, but he remained in critical condition.
His injuries were so serious that Guardia Civil motorcyclists escorted the ambulance to ensure the fastest possible route to the hospital. The teenager was rushed to Son Espases Hospital, where medical teams worked to stabilise him.
This tragic accident occurred at around 4pm on Monday, and the situation remains dire as the young patient fights for his life.
