The pitch is located in Sector D of Camposol on the corner of Calle Nogales and Calle Acebos

Camposol 5-a-side football pitchThe football pitch in Camposol is relatively new and was opened for public use in October 2021. It is available daily 09:00 to 20:00, from 09:00 until 15:00 for adults and 15:00 to 20:00 for children under 16 years.

When parking â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹please respect the neighbours and park on the football-pitch side of the road.

The facility is open to all ages and is regularly used by the Camposol Walking Football Club for those who are young at heart if not so much in body, ladies only as well as mixed meetings take place weekly, details and contact can be found via Facebook page Camposol Walking Football Club or https://www.facebook.com/groups/832520177538688.

The playing surface is rubberised painted concrete with goalposts and nets provided, the pitch is surrounded by a 4-metre-high fence to retain some of those wayward shots that may otherwise end up in someone’s garden!

Camposol 5-a-side football pitchIn early 2022 a paved perimeter and seating with partial shade was added for spectators.

The pitch came to fruition after many years lobbying Mazarrón Council by local resident Tracie Rowley-Smith much of which seemed to be falling on deaf ears until the arrival of Councillor for Camposol, Silvana Buxton who, with the help of the Mazarrón Councillor for Sport managed to obtain partial funding through a regional government incentive.

Council announcement 10/08/2022

The facility is open to all age groups and abilities, there are dropped kerbs to aid wheelchair access.

The facility cannot be booked and is available on a “First come basis” if no one is using the pitch people can use it straight away, if it is being used then the people wanting to use it must wait or return later, but could lose their chance if someone else has turned up in the meantime.

The following Council notice has been attached to the gate of the facility:

“This football pitch is a facility provided by Mazarrón Town Council for the enjoyment and for the free use of children and adults of all ages. It cannot be pre-booked or reserved in advance at any time or under any circumstances”.

It should also be pointed out that only Mazarrón Council can affix notices to the facility it should not be used as a noticeboard or for advertising of any kind.
