Carlos Alcaraz loses Wimbledon men's final to Jannik Sinner
The Spaniard missed out on a historic threefer after his Roland Garros win last month

Sinner defeated the two-time defending champion Alcaraz in four sets (4–6, 6–4, 6–4, 6–4). This victory marks a historic milestone: Sinner becomes the first Italian ever to win Wimbledon, and it is his fourth Grand Slam title overall.
It also ends his five-match losing streak against Alcaraz, drawing their rivalry even in Grand Slam finals.
On Centre Court, Sinner showcased remarkable resilience, serving strongly under pressure, unleashing powerful groundstrokes and breaking Alcaraz’s rhythm in key moments.
Alcaraz, struggling with consistency (he managed just 55% on first serves and committed six double faults), was unable to regain control despite winning the opening set.
Sinner and Alcaraz have emerged as what many see as the dawn of tennis’s “New Two”, echoing the rivalries of Federer-Nadal.
