Cartagena fair ups its sales in new location
The outlet and book fair is a success in the Plaza Juan XXIII
The latest edition of the Cartagena Outlet Fair has been an undeniable success. With such success, people are eagerly awaiting the next one. With an increase in interest from the public, satisfied merchants and sales that exceeded expectation, the fair has once again demonstrated its importance as a hub of local commerce.
That success is mainly down to the joint effort of the merchant’s associations, who have supported the program, and the Cartagena City Council, who have sought to commit to the success of its local vendors.
The new location of the fair has also played a huge part in the success of the event. The Plaza Juan XXIII is reserved only for the use of such fairs as that of the outlet and book fair. The location has allowed for a greater flow of visitors, both tourists and residents, and an increase in interest in the stalls and shops that offer quality products at a reduced price.
The idea was to create an environment that is conducive to small- and medium-sized businesses so they can compete fairly and attractively against large retailers. This action is part of the municipal policies to revitalise the economic activity of the city centre of Cartagena and encourage local commerce.
As such, the Outlet Fair has become as an essential event in Cartagena’s annual calendar, offering huge opportunities for the sellers of products and reinvigorating the public spaces of the city.
