Caser Residencial Santo Ángel residents visit local school to read to children
The storytelling session was designed to connect different generations within the local community

Residents from Caser Residencial Santo Ángel recently took part in an intergenerational activity with pupils from the nearby CEIP Santo Ángel Primary School in Murcia.
The care home, located in central Murcia, is just a short five-minute walk from the school, making it an ideal setting for community initiatives. During the visit, residents led a storytelling session, reading aloud to the children, who listened attentively and with clear enthusiasm.
The activity provided an opportunity for both generations to connect through shared stories, encouraging communication, imagination and mutual understanding in a relaxed environment.

A spokesperson from Caser Residencial described it as “an enriching experience that created moments of connection between generations, fostering listening skills, imagination and the sharing of experiences between older and younger people.”
The initiative reflects the centre’s ongoing commitment to promoting social engagement and meaningful interaction beyond its own walls, strengthening ties with the local community while supporting the wellbeing of its residents.
