ARCHIVED - Christmas Nativity scenes on display in Murcia, Cartagena and Lorca
The traditional clay Nativity Scenes are made by artisanal artists from the Region of Murcia
This week, artisanal crafts centres in the Region of Murcia are celebrating the Traditional Clay Nativity Scene Week, with several exhibitions across the Region.
Cartagena, Murcia and Lorca’s craft centres are all inaugurating their hand-made clay Nativity scenes at the same time, and, in addition, the regional craft center in Murcia city is going to display five scenes provided by the nativity scenes associations of Fuente Álamo, Lorca, Yecla, San Francisco de Asís in Jumilla and the Friends of the Belén of San Javier association.
All of the Nativity scenes are open to the public until January 5, 2022, and the opening hours are 10am until 2pm and 5pm to 8.30pm on Monday through to Friday and from 11am until 1.30pm on Saturdays.
In addition, on Saturday November 27, the Murcia centre has organised an Express Clay Nativity Workshop between 11am and 1pm, for those who want to learn the basics of clay modeling. To sign up for the workshop, call 968 357 537 or send an email to centroartesaniamurcia@salzillosi.com
