ARCHIVED - Clear skies and milder temperatures for Murcia ; July 19 and 20
The region of Murcia can expect clear skies and slightly cooler temperatures in the coming days
Following a weekend that saw temperatures reach the high 30s in many municipalities, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has forecast a slightly cooler outlook for the next couple of days with temperatures not expected to exceed 35 degrees.
Overall, the skies will be clear on Monday 19 and Tuesday 20, with the exception of some morning mists in the Campo de Cartagena, and variable winds are expected throughout the region.
Maximum temperatures expected are as follows:
• Caravaca and the north-west; 35 degrees on both Monday and Tuesday
• Cartagena, the Mar Menor and coastal areas; 31 on Monday and 30 on Tuesday
• Lorca and the inland areas of the south-west; 34 on Monday and Tuesday
• Murcia city and the Segura river valley; 34 on Monday and 35 on Tuesday
• Yecla in the far north; 34 on Monday and 35 on Tuesday
As can be expected, overnight temperatures along the coast will remain high, with the thermometers not dipping below 23 degrees. Evenings will be a little more comfortable in inland areas at a balmy 17 degrees while Murcia city will not drop below 20 degrees on Monday or Tuesday.
