Cloudy patches and falling temps: Murcia weekend weather forecast July 26-28
Although maximum temperatures will drop slightly this weekend, Murcia is at ‘extreme risk’ of forest fires

The Emergency Services of the Region of Murcia and the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) are warning of the high and ever growing risk of forest fires, with the entire area being classed as at ‘Extreme’ risk of fires by early next week.
For this reason, the management of the Infomur Plan against forest fires is reiterating that any activity likely to cause a fire or help one to spread should be avoided.
For this Friday, Aemet forecasts “skies with cloudy intervals of low clouds and morning mist, tending to partly cloudy in the afternoon. Daytime cloudiness in the north-western sierras, with occasional dry thunderstorms not ruled out.”

“Temperatures will fall across the board, except in the Campo de Cartagena where minimum temperatures will rise slightly,” they say, and there will be “light to moderate easterly winds.”
Specifically, temperatures of 26ºC minimum and 31ºC maximum are expected in Cartagena; 18ºC minimum and 34ºC in Caravaca de la Cruz; 21ºC minimum and 35ºC in Lorca; 18ºC minimum and 33ºC in Yecla; and 24ºC minimum and 35ºC in the city of Murcia.
On Saturday July 27, there will be more “cloudy intervals” and minimum temperatures will “fall in the southern half of the region” but remain “unchanged in the rest”.
Maximum temperatures will begin rising again over the course of Saturday and Sunday 28, and going into next week it will continue to get hotter and hotter until temperatures of over 40ºC are expected once again for Tuesday and Wednesday.
