Young star from Club Mar Menor Golf Resort Pádel Academy selected to play in Spanish national championship

Pádel player María García Alcaraz, of the Club Mar Menor Golf Resort pádel academy, has been selected by the Federacion de Pádel de la Región de Murcia (Murcian pádel federation) to represent the Region of Murcia in the children's category, in the next Spanish Pádel Championship, which will be played between September 20 and 22 at the Sports complex in Massanasa, Valencia.

This is a historic selection for María, who becomes the first representative from the Torre Pacheco area called up by the Murcian national team in the children's category, although this is not the first big event María has taken part in. In January of this year, María, together with her playing partner and fellow Club Academy stand-out Claudia Torres, competed in and were proclaimed champions of the First stage event of the Region of Murcia Pádel competition in the junior's category at the Cartagena Pádel Club.

The Club MMGR sports and lesiure facility is located on the Mar Menor Golf Resort in the Region of Murcia.

 

Founded in 2008, the Club is one of the foremost centres for sports excellence in the south of Spain, and has lots to offer golfing, padel and football enthusiasts.

 

They regularly have coaching sessions and great events for young and old alike in both English and Spanish at their football pitches, gym, swimming pool, 9-hole minigolf course and padel facilities, with world-class professional sportspeople coming to coach at the club.

 

There is also a café, bar and restaurant area where they host activities like dancing, concerts and fun themed nights, and they can help you to book to stay at the Mar Menor Golf Resort hotel or to take kayak, canoe, jet ski and water sports day trips out in the local area.

The club is open from Monday to Friday, 7:00-23:00, and on Saturdays and Sundays, 08:00-23:00.
