To identify the most popular trends, we collaborated with Aris Pack. Founded in Ukraine in 1992, the company started as an equipment supplier and has since become a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging. Aris manufactures about 10 types of packaging with four branding options (from screen printing to flexographic printing), fulfilling more than 10,000 individual orders annually for customers in over 30 countries worldwide.
Trend #1: Eco-consciousness as the New Standard
Conversations about recycling are no longer sufficient, yet fully compostable and biodegradable solutions are still not always available on the market. At present, many brands — including ours — rely on recyclable packaging made from mono-materials, which can be properly processed and reintroduced into the cycle. While this does not eliminate environmental impact, it represents a concrete step toward reducing waste and supporting a circular economy. The next stage for the industry lies in expanding access to innovative alternatives, but even today, recyclable solutions remain a responsible choice that balances product protection with environmental care.
Trend #2: Minimalism with Character
In the visual cacophony of retail shelves, simplicity makes the boldest statement. Minimalism in 2025 is not characterized by blandness, but rather by elegance and confidence. Designers are simplifying layouts, incorporating ample negative space while focusing on essential elements such as:

Instead of complex illustrations, typography has emerged as the central design element, with expressive fonts conveying brand personality without superfluous text.

Playful patterns and vintage colour schemes evoke pleasant memories, making brands more relatable. This approach is not about duplicating the past but reinterpreting it for contemporary audiences, fostering trust and deep consumer attachment.

Regional differences across global markets are becoming increasingly pronounced:
