Corvera Airport announces direct flights to Venice and Lille this summer
Both routes launch on June 28 and will run twice weekly from Murcia Airport throughout the summer season

Murcia’s Corvera Airport is adding two new international routes this summer, with Volotea launching direct flights to both Lille in France and Venice in Italy from June 28.
Both routes will operate twice a week throughout the summer season, with more than 7,500 seats available on each across a total of 42 flights.
The Lille service will run on Thursdays and Sundays, and joins Volotea's existing Murcia to Marseille route, meaning the airport will now have direct connections to both the north and south of France.
The Venice flights will operate on Wednesdays and Sundays and are particularly noteworthy as the first ever direct connection between Murcia International Airport and Italy.
Juan Francisco Martínez, director of the Murcia Region Tourism Institute, said the new routes would help improve the Region's air accessibility and make it easier for international visitors to get here.
He pointed to figures from the National Institute of Statistics showing that the Region of Murcia welcomed a record 1.2 million foreign tourists in 2025, up 6.5% on the previous year and double the national growth rate of 3.2%.
With these new routes in place, Murcia Airport will have direct summer connections to 20 European airports across seven countries, with six of those routes operated by Volotea, which has carried nearly 260,000 passengers from Murcia since it began operating there in 2019.
The airport has been on a steady upward trajectory overall, recording just under 950,000 passengers in 2025, a 4.3% increase on the previous year and slightly ahead of the Aena Spanish network average. Flight operations also grew by 7% compared to 2024, and Aena is forecasting a further 4% increase in total seats for 2026.
