The number of patients in intensive care increased by three although the number of patients hospitalised fell by one
The Murcian health authorities detected 90 new Covid cases within the latest 24 hour period, but due to the number of positive patients given the all-clear after completing an isolation period, the number of active cases fell to 1,076 from 1.139 on Monday.
Of the 90 new cases, 41 correspond to the municipality of Murcia, 16 to Cartagena, 4 to Cieza, 4 to Molina de Segura, 3 to Abarán, 3 to Torre Pacheco, 2 to Los Alcázares, 2 to Alhama de Murcia , 2 to Lorca, 2 to Las Torres de Cotillas, and 2 to La Unión, with the remainder distributed around other municipalities in single figures.
The regional health authorities failed to publish the detailed daily breakdown of cases as is normally the case on Tuesday, so the last set of data relating to the accumulated incidence rate was published on Monday and gives the rate per 100,000 cases across the region as being 120.6 over 14 days, with five municipalities reporting no cases across the last two weeks; Campos del Río, Aledo, Ulea, Librilla and Ojós.
Of the 1,076 active cases, 976 remain in home isolation with mild cases, and 100 are hospitalised with more severe cases, 26 of them in intensive care.
