December 1 to 10 Fiestas patronales tapas route in Mazarron
Prize draws are held for those who visit 7 of the 15 Mazarrón bars and restaurants taking part
The annual fiestas in honour of La Purísima begin in Mazarrón on November 30 and to coincide with them a local tapas route is being held in the town.
Taking part are 15 local hostelries, each of them offering their listed tapa and a drink for the price of 3 euros. To take part pick up your route map and get it stamped in the establishments you visit to try their tapas – the participation card can also be collected from the tourist office in Plaza Toneleros in Puerto de Mazarrón, providing your passport to a gastronomic tour of the best in affordable local tapa specialities.
Those collecting a total of 10 stamps in their passports are eligible for a prize draw, the prize being a dinner valued at 300 euros in one of the participating establishments. At a lower threshold of 7 stamps another draw will be held for meals in the hostelries taking part.
Stamped passports should be deposited in the large box which will be installed in the gastronomic marquee of La Aceña during the fiestas until December 10, and the winners’ names will be published on the Town Hall website after the event.
The bars and restaurants taking part are Café Bar La Plaza, Café Bar El Albergue, Restaurante Costa, Restaurante Guillermo II, Restaurante El Pilón, Panadería Canela, Restaurante La Inesperada, Café Bar D'Pintxos, Bar Toñi, Cafetería la Fundición, La Pista, and in the marquee La Pista, Freshca, Sal y Almagre/Perra Chica and Pilón.
