ARCHIVED - December 3 El Valle Perdido guided walking trail
Take part in this medium-high difficulty walking trail in central Murcia’s El Valle Perdido natural park
On Saturday December 3, 2022, the El Valle Perdido natural park in the central area of the Region of Murcia is going to be holding a very special event designed for visitors to get to know the green space better and learn about its history.
Under the title of Sendero de Las Trincheras de El Valle Perdido (El Valle Perdido Trenches Trail), this activity consists of walking in the natural woodland area of the El Valle Perdido park, formally known as the Parque Regional El Valle Carrascoy, to learn more about this most distinctive and memorable natural place. This event is being held to close the anniversary year of 30 years of Natural Protected Spaces.
Participants in the walk can learn what this historic mountain range was like in the past, what it is like today and how it has changed over the millennia, and discover its plants, animals and many more surprises.
The route starts at 10am and covers a distance of approximately 6 kilometres. It is said to be of medium-high difficulty, according to the organisers. The minimum age to participate in the trail walk is from 12 years old.
Registration to sign up for the walking event is via this Google Form (click here) but registration only opens on Saturday November 19 at 9.30 am.
