December 6 La Manga del Mar Menor Christmas market in Galerias el Flamenco
The all-day Xmas market in La Manga will even have live music from a DJ
The Galerías el Flamenco shopping centre, located at km4 of La Manga del Mar Menor’s Gran Vía, is hosting its annual and much-loved ‘San Nicolás Christmas market’ on Wednesday December 6, which is a national holiday in Spain for Constitution Day.
La Manga’s Christmas market starts at 10am and goes on until 5pm. The event will have by an extensive programme of children’s entertainment, actors, DJs and live music.
There will also be mulled wine and doughnuts to warm the cockles of your heart, plus a large Belén model nativity scene to see created by local master belenista Manuel Miranda.
In addition, anyone who wishes to can set up a stall selling second-hand clothes or handicrafts, free of charge. All the organisers of the market ask for is a voluntary donation of a bag of non-perishable foodstuff, which will be donated to Cáritas. Anyone who sets up a stall must bring their own tables, chairs, etc.
Stall can be unloaded and set up from 8am. Once the market is opened to the public at 10am, no one will be allowed to drive or park their car in the street where the market is taking place. Local Police will close off the street and may fine those who move their vehicles before closing time, which is at 5pm.
