Discover Elche this summer aboard the enchanting tourist train
The hour-long mini tour takes in Elche's historical Palm Grove and museum among other emblematic areas
The Costa Blanca city of Elche is home to the largest palm grove in Europe, three UNESCO World Heritage Sites and museums, and as well as boasting 9km of beautiful coastline, hosts several incredible festivals.
There is so much to see and experience in this city, just half an hour from Alicante capital city, and what better way to do so than aboard Elche Tourist Train – an enchanting hour-long tour that takes in the most emblematic areas, including the Municipal Park and the historical Palm Grove.
During this relaxing train ride, there's a stop-off at the Palm Museum where visitors can find out more about the history and culture of Elche's magnificent oasis with prices starting at just 2.30 euros for children and over 65s.
There are a further three stops, including the historic centre, along the route that ends at Elche's charming Municipal Park – the perfect spot for a picnic, so it's a good idea to take a bit of lunch along for the ride.

- Tourist Train departure times: Daily and on the hour from 10am to 5pm. There is an additional tour at 6pm in July, August and September. The Palm Museum is closed on Mondays.
- Prices: General rate (3.50 euros); children under 12 and over 65s (2.30); family rate which includes 2 adults + 2 children (10.50); groups of a minimum of 20 people (2.30 euros each).
