ARCHIVED - Double delivery of vaccines in Spain this week; four million doses
Spain has now administered more than 15 million doses of vaccines
The Spanish Minister for Health, Carolina Darias, has reported that although she had originally announced on Monday that the country would receive and distribute two million vaccines against coronavirus this week, the final figure will actually be double that.
The change is due to additional deliveries of vaccines from AstraZeneca and Moderna, which will bring the total for the week to around four million doses.
The vaccination rate is increasing steadily as more vaccines are made available.
15,377,862 doses of vaccine have now been administered in Spain, and 4,166,758 residents have been fully inoculated to date with either two doses of Pfizer, Moderna or AstraZeneca or one dose of Janssen.
On Thursday Janssen delivered 126,000 monodose vaccines.
