ARCHIVED - Drunk driver overturns car in middle of Murcia street
The female driver had crashed into a parked car and was later arrested by Murcia police
A car accident in Murcia city left a vehicle overturned in the middle of the street after which police officers arrested the driver for tripling the legal alcohol limit in Spain.
At around 6.30pm, the female driver crashed into a parked car, which had a trailer attached to it, on Carretera de la Fuensanta and the impact caused the woman’s car to spin, landing on its roof.
Officers from the Policía Local in Murcia were called to the scene and found the driver displaying signs of inebriation, although she appeared to be unharmed.
After breathalysing the woman, she was arrested for crimes against road safety as the test read 0.73mg/l; almost triple the legal limit of 0.25mg/l.
