Earthquake with magnitude 2.4 near Hacienda Riquelme coincides with storm
Many around Murcia may have felt the tremor on Tuesday night
An earthquake shook central Murcia late on Tuesday night, October 29. The tremor produced a 2.4 reading on the Richter scale and had a depth of 5 kilometres.
The tremor was felt for only an instant, being recorded at 11.12pm, though many people may not have even noticed it due to the other shaky weather conditions at the time.
The epicentre of the earthquake was located just southeast of the city of Murcia and was widely felt in the metropolitan area of ​​Murcia, especially in the area around the southern mountain range such as Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort, El Valle, Corvera and Gea y Truyols.
