How to watch England vs Spain in the women’s football championship this week
England and Spain are set to face off in the quarterfinals of the Women’s Euros 2022 on Wednesday July 20 at the Amex Stadium in Brighton.
Football fans around Europe have been eagerly following the Women’s Euros this summer, as the sport gains wider visibility on television and among the sporting world.
Now, fans can watch Spain and England battle it out for a place in the semifinals, kicking off at 8pm GMT (9pm Spanish time) this Wednesday.
BBC One is showing coverage of the match starting from 7.30pm GMT (8.30pm Spanish time), and it is also available to livestream on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website.
The two teams drew 0-0 earlier this year at Norwich in the Arnold Clark Cup. Spain coach Jorge Vilda has said England will be their “toughest game in the Euros given the level England are playing at – and that they are the host nation”, but added that it “is something that motivates us. We like a challenge.”
On Thursday July 21, another quarterfinal match will be played between Germany and Austria – a local derby – in Brentford, while Sweden play Belgium on Friday and France play the Netherlands on Saturday.
