February 17 The first ever official Carnival parade in Fuente Álamo!

The Town Hall of Fuente Álamo has opted to hold the parade on Mardi Gras, as tradition demands

February 17 The first ever official Carnival parade in Fuente Álamo! While most municipalities in the Region of Murcia are holding their main 2026 Carnival parades on 14^th or 21^st February, the Town Hall of Fuente Álamo has decided to observe the very best of the tradition and organize theirs on Tuesday 17^th February (Shrove Tuesday, or Mardi Gras).

Fuente Álamo is one of the last to have jumped onto the Carnival bandwagon and this will in fact be the first Carnival parade to be organized by the Town Hall. The procession begins at 18.00 on a route along the Gran Vía to the Plaza de la Constitución, where there will be live music and a great atmosphere!!

Among those taking part are the CSA Cooperativa, the Escuela de Baile de María José, Escuela de Vanessa Vidal, Comparsa Imagine, Scout Fuente Álamo and the Fiestas Committee of Cuevas de Reyllo, who bring with them the traditional paper floats which are featured in the village’s annual fiestas.
