Free guided tours of the medieval city of Murcia every Saturday afternoon
Visit the remains of when Christians, Jews and Muslims lived alongside in Murcia
This free guided walk in the city centre of the regional capital of Murcia takes participants back to the Middle Ages, when three cultures thrived alongside each other as Jews, Muslims and Christians shared the space within the city walls.
In the heart of the city it is still possible to see remains of those walls as well as evidence of the way of life over 500 years ago - and indeed, during the 700 years during which the three cultures co-existed, as well as old Moorish palaces and agricultural establishments.
The tours are held every Saturday afternoon, starting at 17.00 at the Museo de Santa Clara on Avenida Alfonso X El Sabio.
Although the tours are free of charge prior registration is required online here, with a deadline of the Wednesday before the tour takes place. Alternatively, bookings can be made by telephone on 968 219099 or by email at turismodemurcia@aldabacongresos.com.
Booking limitations:
- Only 4 people per booking
- Maximum total group size 20
- A minimum of 6 people must be registered for the visit to go ahead.
