Friday February 3 England Veterans Football Club Over-55s vs Cartagena at La Manga Club
England v Cartagena friendly to be played at La Manga Club this Friday

Kick-off is at 8pm and supporters are invited and encouraged to come down to La Manga Club to watch and cheer on the Three Lions.
After the match, there will be an after party at the The Last Drop in La Manga Club, to which players, supporters and spectators from both teams are welcome.
Who are the England Veterans Football Club?

The England Veterans Football Club runs national teams for ages over 50, 55, 60, 65 and even an over-70 side. They play international games and represent county teams in the UK.
Every year, the England Veterans play home internationals against Wales, Northern Ireland & Scotland, and the over-55s team are the current trophy holders of their age group.
Players are selected from teams from all over England, and the current over-55 squad contains players from nine separate counties. Most of the players have played league football or a very high standard of non-league football in the UK.
Possibly the most high-profile player is Barry Hayles, who played premiership football for Fulham and international football for Jamaica. He currently plays for the over-50 side.
They also have Chris Burns, who played for Portsmouth in the 1990s, and managed in Spain after his UK playing career ended.
Many of the side are staying at La Quinta Club in La Manga Club, perhaps the most prestigious of the shared ownership developments within Europe's premier gof resort.
“It’s not how good you were, it’s how good you are now” is the unofficial motto of the England Veterans, and to play for the over-55s you need to be very decent footballer and still be very fit, says Andy Cranch, player-manager for the England over-55s.
