ARCHIVED - Gazpacho police: Congresswoman in the soup over Nazi gaffe
The notorious extremist compared the Capitol Police to the famous Spanish soup

Controversial US Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has gone viral this week for all the wrong reasons after she accused Nancy Pelosi of having a “gazpacho police” force. During her rant against the House Speaker, the extremist politician mistook the iconic chilled Spanish soup for the notorious Nazi secret police, the Gestapo.
Although there is no evidence of wrongdoing against the Capitol Police, Ms Greene lambasted officials for doling out subpoenas to Donald Trump affiliates and for holding the alleged leaders of the January 6 2021 Capitol Building riot in a DC prison.

This is not the first time the Georgia congresswoman has been in hot water: in June, she was forced to apologise after comparing President Biden’s Covid safety measure to the Holocaust.
Her most recent faux pas was made during an interview on Real America with Dan Ball, when she said:
“Not only do we have the DC jail which is the DC gulag, but now we have Nancy Pelosi’s gazpacho police spying on members of Congress, spying on the legislative work that we do, spying on our staff and spying on American citizens.”
To date, more than 760 people have been charged with crimes relating to the attack on the Capitol.

Spain has recently experienced an attack on a seat of government that has been compared to the US attack on Capitol Hill when pig farmers stormed the Town Hall in Lorca, Murcia.
