Grand Hyatt to open its first hotel in Spain in La Manga
Grand Hyatt La Manga Club and Resort promises “unparalleled splendour and luxury”

The iconic Hyatt Hotel group has announced its exciting plans to open a new luxury hotel in the Region of Murcia later this year, its first in Spain. After extensive refurbishment, the Grand Hyatt La Manga Club and Resort is set to welcome its first guests to the 192-room complex in mid-2023.
The ambitious project, which promises “the modern traveller enriching luxury and lifestyle experiences”, is a collaboration between Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) and Grupo Inversor Hesperia (GIHSA).
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has already planned the Grand Hyatt Lanzarote for 2025, and the Mar Menor resort will join other prestigious European properties such as the Grand Hyatt Berlin in Germany, Grand Hyatt Athens in Greece and Grand Hyatt Istanbul in Turkey.
Located in the heart of the emblematic La Manga Club on the Cartagena coast, now one of Europe’s most popular tourist destinations, the new hotel will offer guest rooms, a royal suite and six other luxury accommodation options. Lovers of gourmet cuisine need look no further, as the renovated property will boast a sushi bar and a high-end restaurant, aimed at highlighting local products, when it throws its doors open in the spring.
“Grand Hyatt La Manga Club and Resort will offer a wide variety of options for premium travellers seeking unparalleled splendour and luxury experiences while visiting the Region of Murcia,” Hesperia CEO Jordi Ferrer said.
