Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort, bars and restaurants
Where to eat, Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort
External visitors are welcome to use the golf club house, which is situated in the original Hacienda Riquelme building. (Known as the Casón).
The Casón is the focal point for the resort, and contains a nicely appointed traditional restaurant with a varied menu of Spanish, British and International dishes. Both indoor and outdoor dining areas are available and the restaurant also serves drinks and snacks throughout the day. (Tel 968 039 213).
The Palomar bar is built around the original structure of the former dovecote, and is just outside the main Casón structure. Light snacks and drinks are available in the afternoons and evenings.
The Casón complex also has a handy supermarket, with a selection of basic supplies and an upstairs lounge complete with pool table and internet café area.
The Casón is visible from the entrance to the resort and is easily located from the main access. Non residents are welcome to use the facilities.
Bars and restaurants off-resort.
In Sucina there are a couple of Spanish restaurants, a British bar and a combined Indian/Italian for those who miss their takeaways.
If you prefer to venture slightly further afield for a meal, there is plenty more on offer only a short distance away. Los Alcázares is within ten minutes’ drive, and offers a wide range of dining experiences, from a plethora of typically Spanish eateries to an impressive list of international cuisine. The number of options available is almost endless: whether your preferences are Mediterranean, Indian, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, French, American or even British – there is the “British alley” and Oasis centre in Los Alcázares - you’ll be able to find something to satisfy the taste buds!
Los Alcázares, Sucina, Balsicas and San Javier are close enough to make a taxi easily affordable if the task of choosing a designated driver for the evening proves too controversial!
Slightly further afield, Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort is no more than 35 minutes from Cartagena and 25 minutes from Murcia, bringing both of the Region’s major cities within easy range for a special meal out. The southern end of the Costa Blanca is also close by (Pilar de la Horadada 20 minutes, Torrevieja 35 minutes), as is La Manga (35 minutes), so there’s no excuse for failing to combine a little sightseeing with broadening your gastronomic horizons.
