Heat cools to the mid-20s: Alicante weather forecast May 20-June 2
This weekend will be mostly bright and sunny in Alicante province with far more manageable temperatures
Weather outlook on Saturday June 1
In Alicante province, the tail end of May feels like a rehearsal for summer, with a prolonged heatwave raising the mercury to values more typical of mid-July. Daytime temperatures will continue to rise over the next couple of days but they will be nothing compared to other parts of southern Spain like Sevilla and Cordoba, where thermometers are tipped to hit 40ºC.
But as we enter the weekend proper and the beginning of June, the weather should settle down to more normal behaviour, and temperatures will fall considerably.
Thursday May 30
Thursday will be the warmest day of the week so far, with the mercury tipped to exceed 30ºC in the Vega Baja and around 26ºC in coastal areas. The season of tropical nights will also begin this week, and the temperatures won’t drop below 21ºC in the capital.
The day itself will be mostly clear and sunny with occasional high clouds.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Thursday
Alcoy: 17ºC to 32ºC
Alicante: 21ºC to 27ºC
Denia: 17ºC to 28ºC
Elche: 17ºC to 30ºC

Friday May 31

Alicante: 20ºC to 27ºC
