Heat alert active for the next three days
Aemet indicates Murcia will be one of the hottest places in the country this week

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued both yellow and orange weather warnings for the Region of Murcia for the next three days, from Wednesday July 10 to Friday 12.
On Wednesday, the northeast and the Altiplano area in the north of the Region are on yellow alert between 1pm and 9pm for temperatures that could reach up to 38-39ºC, while the central area, the Vega del Segura, has an orange heat warning active at the same times for temperatures of up to 40ºC.

On Thursday July 11, all these same three areas are once again on yellow alert from 1pm to 9pm for temperatures that could reach up to 38-39ºC and at moments up to 40ºC, according to Aemet.

Friday is the same, with the addition of the southwestern quadrant of Murcia, down to the coast of Mazarrón, which will also be on yellow alert.

Over these three days, the Campo de Cartagena area and the Mar Menor will not be on alert.
On Saturday 13, temperatures are forecast to dip slightly, barely breaching 31ºC, but will begin to climb up again from Sunday and we could return to this 40-degree area by Monday.
