Here comes summer: Spain weekend weather forecast June 5-8
Most of Spain can look forward to sunny weekend with temperatures touching 40°C in places
Average temperatures expected on Saturday June 7
Just when we thought the weather had settled down, Spain was hit by a succession of storms earlier this week. Most of the thunder and hail was confined to inland regions, but even parts of Murcia in the south were issued with weather alerts.
However, that’s all about to change as the disruptive Atlantic front moves away from Spain on Thursday June 5 to be replaced by a ridge of warm air. Even so, Galicia, Asturias, Catalonia and Mallorca can still expect the odd shower, but the rest of the country will remain dry.

Daytime temperatures will dip a little along the east coast but they’ll shoot up elsewhere, with the valleys of Andalucía expected to see 35°C.
On Friday June 6, Catalonia, inland Castellon and Mallorca could again experience light showers. Everywhere else, the weather will remain stable, with mostly clear to mostly cloudy skies.

Temperatures will begin to inch up across the country and the Balearic Islands, likely exceeding 35°C in large inland areas of the south.
The situation will be very similar over the weekend. Light rain will continue in the Cantabrian region and some light showers and thunderstorms are expected in the Pyrenees on Saturday June 7. Elsewhere it will be mostly sunny with rising temperatures, especially in southern and eastern Spain.

Sunday June 8 will be another mostly bright, clear day with plenty of sunshine. Temperatures will approach 40°C in parts of Andalucía, with Sevilla even tipped to hit 42°C.
