The Super Bowl is the culmination of the National Football League season, played between the winners of the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC).
It is a massive event in the sporting calendar each year, being broadcast not only in the USA but around the whole world to millions of international viewers. It is as popular for its famous Super Bowl halftime show as it is for the sporting competition, as the entertainment midway through the game is provided by the biggest names imaginable in pop music. The San Fransico 49ers are the favourites to win this season’s event in the latest Super Bowl odds, narrowly edging it over the Kanas City Chiefs. The game is being broadcast on TelevisaUnivision in Spanish and although the time difference will make it awkward, they are estimating there will be a record audience. Despite there being no current Spaniards in the NFL, there is still plenty of interest in the game and there are even rumours Spain could host a game in the near future.
For international citizens and foreigners living in Spain or visiting Europe while the Super Bowl is on, it can sometimes be a challenge to find out how and where to see the Super Bowl live. Thankfully, there are several options for watching the Super Bowl in Spain and Europe:
Watch the Super Bowl live in a bar in Spain
While American Football is not, as a rule, a particularly popular sport in Spain, or indeed anywhere outside of the United States, it is possible to watch the Super Bowl live in sports bars and certain establishments in major Spanish cities like Barcelona and Madrid.
Ordinarily, American Football games are not shown in these places throughout the year, but because the Super Bowl is such a big event and is so important on an international scale, it is pretty much the only American Football game that it will be possible to see on television in a bar in Spain.
There are some sports bars in Barcelona that even host a Super Bowl Party to cater for the (mostly American) fans of this sport who find themselves in the city in early February. Some of the most popular sports bars for fans in Barcelona to watch the NFL final include:

When and where is the Super Bowl in 2024?
The Super Bowl being played in 2024 will be Super Bowl LVIII, the 58th annual Super Bowl since its inception. It is played in a different US stadium each year, and since 2022 it has been played on the second Sunday in February. In 2024, the Super Bowl will be played in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Allegiant Stadium on Sunday February 11, 2024.

In 2024, the Super Bowl halftime show is being performed by Usher. Post Malone, Reba McEntire and Andra Day will all be providing pre-game entertainment.
What time is the Super Bowl 2024 in Spain?
The kickoff time of Super Bowl LVIII will be at 6.30pm ET, which is perfect for evening viewers in the USA, of course, but the time difference means that watching the Super Bowl in Europe is always a question of staying up late specifically to be able to see it.
6.30pm Eastern Time is equivalent to 11.30pm in the UK and in Spain’s Canary Islands (Greenwich Mean Time or GMT), and it is 12.30am on Monday February 12, 2024 in mainland Spain and in the Balearic Islands.
That means that in 2024, sports fans who wish to see the Super Bowl live will have to stay up to see the start of the game after midnight and stay awake until it finishes in the early hours of the morning – no small task on a Monday morning, when many people will have to go to work straight afterwards!
