Jet2 unveils 11 new flights between Spain and the UK
The new base at London-Gatwick will welcome flights from Alicante, Malaga and more

Budget British airline Jet2.com has announced the opening of a new base at London Gatwick Airport in 2026. This will be its 14th hub in the UK and will connect to 11 Spanish airports from March next year, coinciding with the start of the summer season.
"This expansion will allow Jet2.com, and its partner tour operator Jet2holidays, to consolidate its position as the leading tour operator and third largest airline in the UK," the company explained in a statement.
It also highlights the importance of the new base for the Spanish market, "which is increasingly becoming the company's main focus," Jet2 continued.
This winter, six out of every ten Jet2.com flights will be destined for Spain and almost a dozen airports will be connected to the new London-Gatwick base by the end of March 2026.
The 11 Spanish airports that will benefit from the new Jet2 London-Gatwick base are:
- Fuerteventura: two weekly flights (Wednesday and Sunday)
- Gran Canaria: two weekly flights (Wednesday and Sunday)
- Lanzarote: two weekly flights (Tuesdays and Saturdays)
- Tenerife South: three weekly flights (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday), plus the inaugural flight in March
- Ibiza: two weekly flights (Mondays and Fridays)
- Mallorca: 10 weekly flights (every day and two daily flights on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays)
- Menorca: three weekly flights (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday)
- Alicante: five weekly flights (every day except Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
- Malaga: four weekly flights (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday)
- Girona: three weekly flights (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday)
- Reus: three weekly flights (Monday, Wednesday and Friday)
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to expand our range of options from the UK to Spain and also consolidate our position as the leading tour operator between the UK and the Canary and Balearic Islands,” Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said.
"London is home to a huge number of potential travellers to Spain and now we will be offering flights from three of its airports, also providing the possibility of visiting the capital of England from Spain in a more flexible and affordable way," he added.
