Mazarrón Mayor and Councillors present the festivities in honour of the Virgen del Carmen, patron saint of the Port of Mazarrón
Mazarrón Mayor, Ginés Campillo, together with councillors Jorge Durán, Jesús García, Ana Ruiz and Miguel Ángel Peña, accompanied by the parish priest of the Puerto de Mazarrón, Juan José Noguera, the main patron of the Fishermen's Guild of Mazarrón, Manuel Sánchez and Ana Delgado, from the Terpsichore dance studio, have officially presented the program of festivities in honour of the Virgen del Carmen, patron saint of the Puerto de Mazarrón.
Friday July 12
8.00 pm. Holy Mass in the Church of San José, Puerto de Mazarrón.
9.00 pm. Solemn Proclamation by Alejandro Miras Borreguero in the Church of San José. Recognitions and distinctions will be given to retired fishermen.
10.00 pm. XXXV Terpsichore Dance Festival at the Fishermen's Market, free admission.
Saturday July 13
10.00 pm. Concert by Los de la Juana + Los Luisos + Kiko & Shara at the Lonja de Pescadores, free of charge.
Sunday July 14
10.00 pm. Dance Festival of the Ana Ruiz Dance Academy in the Fishermen's Market, free admission .
Monday July 15
8.30 pm. Solemn Eucharist for the souls of all those who died in Puerto de Mazarrón in the Church of San José.
9.30 pm. Singing to the Eve of the Virgen del Carmen by the Rondalla de Mazarrón and the Rociero Choir of Puerto de Mazarrón on the Paseo Marítimo next to the Monument to the Fisherman.
Tuesday July 16
9.30 am. Celebration of the Eucharist and blessing in the Church of San José.
10.30 am. Transfer of the figure of the Virgin to the fishing pier.
6.30 pm. Maritime procession with the image of the Virgen del Carmen.
8.00 pm. Floral offering to the Virgen del Carmen at the Fishermen's Market.
8.30 pm. Solemn Eucharist and imposition of scapulars in the Fishermen's Market, followed by a musical offering by the "Ana Ruiz" Dance Academy.
9.30 pm. Land procession with the figure of the Virgen del Carmen, concluding the festivities.
