Live music from Spain, the Dominican Republic, Colombia and France at various venues in Cartagena
After the disruption of the Covid pandemic over the last couple of years the La Mar de Músicas international music festival returns to Cartagena in the early summer of 2022, with a series of 41 artists performing between July 15 and July 23 at various venues in the city. The featured nation at this year’s event is the Dominican Republic.
On Sunday July 17 the schedule is as follows:
13.00: Firmado, Carlota (Spain) presents her maiden studio album Buenas y Malas Decisiones at the Real Club de Regatas. Tickets 5 euros.
20.00: Mula (Dominican Republic) is one of the young performers flying the flag for music in his home country, and performs live in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
21.30: Lido Pimienta (Colombia) uses her music to fight against race and gender discrimination and has received special recognition in Canada, where her album La Papessa was the first entirely in Spanish to be named Best Canadian Disc of the Year. Tickets for her concert in the patio of the CIM building are available at 15 euros.
23.00: Yann Tiersen (France) is a musician from Britanny whose fame spread through the film Amélie and its soundtrack. Tickets for his concert in the Auditorio 'Paco Martín' in Parque Torres are available at 30 euros.
