July 8 Free guided visit to the old mines of Mazarron
Discover the mining history which has shaped the town of Mazarrón over the last two millennia
This tour of the old mines of Mazarrón in the mountains behind the town illustrates various stages of the area’s mineral, economic, social and cultural history, much of which revolves around the periodic wealth generated by mining activity.
The visit, which is held in Spanish, begins at 19.00 and lasts approximately two and a half hours, with participants advised to ensure they bring drinking water, adequate footwear and, of course, plenty of sun protection. Participants will be informed of the starting point after registration, which can be completed online here.
Dogs are not permitted.
Under no circumstances will others be allowed to join the tour without having booked beforehand.
