June 15-28 Lorca LGBTQ Pride march and activities
Witness the Pride Parade in Lorca this June, and enjoy other organised Pride activities

This month, Lorca is celebrating International LGBT Pride Day, which falls on Friday June 28, 2024, with a Pride March and various other activities.
Lorca’s Councillor for Education, Rosa María Medina, together with the Councillor for Women, María de las Huertas García, the Councillor for Culture, Santiago Parra, and the President of Lorcairis, Enrique Olcina, presented the programme for Lorca Pride 2024, in which the city shows its “solidarity and commitment to diversity”.
The main event of the June 2024 Pride activities in Lorca will be the parade, which will take place on Saturday June 15. It will start at 8pm at the Plaza Calderón, and then pass along Calle Alporchones, Calle Corredera and Pío XII until it reaches the Plaza Arco Iris, where a commemorative manifesto will be read.
As well as various talks and seminars about diversity and equality taking place around the city this month, there is an exhibition on ‘Lesbians in History’ at the Espín Cultural Centre starting on Friday June 21. The exhibition will be open to the public for a week, until June 28, when the month’s activities will culminate with the lighting of the Miguel Navarro walkway and the San Antonio fountain with the colours of the rainbow flag.
