June 21 Free live music at La Manga Tour Fest
Kick off the summer in style with a full day of music, water sports and family fun in La Manga del Mar Menor
La Manga del Mar Menor is set to welcome summer with the launch of La Manga Tour Fest, a brand-new celebration combining live music, water sports, children’s entertainment and free activities for the whole family.
This free event will take place on Saturday June 21 at two different locations in La Manga: starting at 11am at the esplanade next to El Pulpito restaurant in Puerto Tomás Maestre and continuing from 7.30pm until 1am in Plaza Castillo de Mar.
Organised by the Departments of Tourism and Festivities in collaboration with the events company Plan Out, this new festival is designed to become a recurring summer tradition and a fun way to mark the start of the tourist season in one of
San Javier’s most iconic destinations.
The event was officially presented this week on the terrace of El Pulpito by the mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo, alongside several local councilors and Plan Out organisers Sergio González and Rubén Marcos, who promised “fun and entertainment for all ages on a day of celebration.”

The day’s activities begin in Puerto Tomás Maestre with a packed morning programme including children’s games, water attractions, paddleboards and giant boards, along with live music from family-friendly groups Aparatus Band and Sótano 14.
Even the ferry that connects the port with Santiago de la Ribera will join the party, offering live music performances onboard.
From 7.30pm, the festival moves to Plaza Castillo de Mar for an evening of high-energy music and entertainment aimed at younger audiences. Performers will include Colectivo Da Silva, Jordana B, The Sound, Surfer, DJ Quetglas and, once again, Aparatus Band and Sótano 14, keeping the party going into the early hours.
Mayor José Miguel Luengo explained the spirit of the new festival, saying it was about “offering a day of festive activities for the whole family in two different locations that allow visitors to better understand La Manga.”
He invited residents and visitors to enjoy the festival and thanked sponsors and collaborators for their participation.
The festival is linked to the celebration of the San Juan festivities, which also herald the start of summer, and which continue to grow each year with the collaboration of the Department of Festivals and the La Manga Leisure and Free Time Residents' Association.

The municipality of San Javier has three main offices giving tourist information to visitors, as well as two information points. The tourist offices are located in Santiago de la Ribera, on the ground floor of the town hall in San Javier and at the start of La Manga. There is also a summer tourist information point located on the seafront in Santiago de la Ribera as well as one at kilometre 12-13 of La Manga del Mar Menor next to Playa Mistral.
Due to its location on the fringes of the Mar Menor and Mediterranean, San Javier has a period of intense summer tourism activity during the peak summer months, although it is popular with retirees of all nationalities out of peak season.
