June 21 to July 28 Art exhibition in Jumilla tracing the life of Juan Lozano
The life and achievements of the Jumilla-born clergyman during the 17th century at the Jerónimo Molina Ethnography and Natural Science Museum
Juan Lozano Lozano was born in Jumilla in 1610 and became an important member of the Augustine religious order, being appointed Bishop of Tropea, Mazara, Palermo and Plasencia before his death in 1679, and this exhibition illustrates his life and achievements throughout a long and illustrious career.
Some of the images on display have never been shown in public before, and the exhibition “Juan Lozano Lozano: Huellas Mediterráneas” examines the mark he left on the clergy and the Catholic church in the 17th century.
The exhibition can be seen at the Jerónimo Molina Ethnographic and Natural Science Museum until July 28 (opening hours 10.00 to 14.00 and 17.00 to 20.00, Sundays 11.00 to 14.00, closed on Mondays).
