June 5 to 9 Rojo & Red gastronomy festival in Puerto de Mazarrón

The “Rojo & Red” gastronomic festival returns to the seafront promenade Paseo Agustín Herrerín in Puerto de Mazarrón over the long weekend of 5th to 9th June, featuring not only culinary treats but also live music, showcooking and workshops during both the morning and the afternoon.
This edition of the annual event focuses especially on the renowned cooking of the Basque Country, three Michelin-starred chefs, a tapas zone and numerous other activities. The full programme can be found below with something for all the family at this popular event in Puerto de Mazarrón!
Friday July 5
12.00: The tapas zone opens.
18.30: Presentation by Michelin-starred chef David López of Restaurante Local de Ensayo in Murcia, "La cocina vasca de LDE".
19.30: Presentation by Joaquín Madrid of Restaurante El Rincón de Joaquín in Murcia, “El Pil Pil", including a tasting.
20.30: Wine tasting, "Cinco copas con Juana la Loca... Una historia reflejada en 5 vinos", presented by Javier Zapata (twice champion wine waiter of the Region of Murcia, 2018 and 2022).
22.00: Music with DJ Tito Sito.
Saturday June 6
12.00: The “Mini Gourmet” workshop for children.
18.30: Presentation by Cándido Morales of Restaurante Arrea in Álava, in the Basque Country, "La cocina de Arrea".
19.30: Presentation by Michelin-starred chef Julen Bergantiños of Restaurante Islares in Bilbao, including a tasting.
20.30: Wine tasting, "Los vinos que transmiten emociones, un viaje personal en 5 copas", with Javier Zapata (twice champion wine waiter of the Region of Murcia, 2018 and 2022).
22.00: Marlene live in concert, followed by more music with DJ Wedec.
Sunday June 7
13.00: The “Mini Gourmet” workshop for children.
18.30: Presentation by chef Pedro Buitrago of Restaurante Tándem in Murcia, including a tasting, "Cocina de recuerdo".
19.30: Presentation by chef Antonio Velázquez of Restaurante El Portillo in Javalí Nuevo, including a tasting, "La chuleta: despiece, asado y trinchado"
22.00: Concert with Reverse Ciudad Canalla, followed by DJ Anfri.
Monday June 8
16.00: The “Mini Gourmet” workshop for children.
18.30: Presentation by Michelin-starred chef Sergio Ortiz of Restaurante Zárate in Billbao, including a tasting,
22.00: Live concert with Filiu y Cía performing hits from the 80s and 90s, followed by DJ Anfri.
Tuesday June 9
18.30: Presentation by Michelin-starred chef Fernando González of Restaurante La Revelia in Amorebieta (Basque Country).
The closing ceremony is followed by more music with DJ Tito Sito.
