A 73-year-old man is in a very serious condition after falling off the roof of his property in La Manga del Mar Menor.
A 73-year-old man man had to be rescued by firefighters and taken to hospital by the emergency health services, after being seriously injured when he fell off the roof of his house in La Manga del Mar Menor on Sunday morning.
Neighbours saw him fall from the roof of his house, where he was apparently adjusting the TV antenna, into the interior patio of a neighbouring property.
Local police patrols, firefighters from the Murcia Region Fire Extinction and Rescue Consortium (CEIS) and the Cartagena City Council and a Mobile Emergency Unit (UME) were mobilized to the site.
Once rescued by the firefighters and stabilized by the 061 personnel, he was transferred to the Virgen de la Arrixaca hospital in Murcia, where he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit, with severe injuries.
